Cultural route to discover the charming, mountain-lined town of Alaró
The town of Alaró has several points of cultural and tourist interest, such as the Sant Bartomeu church, the council or the town square.
The cultural route starts at the town square, where the Sant Bartomeu parish church (1626-1785), the Cós cross (late 16th century), the council, with its façade in regionalist style, the Can Xalet inn (late 17th century) and the Son Mallol country house (‘possessió of the 16th century that was eventually merged into the town) are located. It is also important to mention the Los Damunt neighbourhood, since it is the original town, which appears on records from the 13th century. The path ends in the Cabrit y Bassa square, where, according to tradition, the two local heroes were executed on the orders of king Alfonso II of Aragon.
