Enjoy five tapas and five drinks in the narrow streets of central Palma
Majorcans know that the best nights in Palma are tapas nights! You'll meet up with Urban Adventures, who will guide you on a route full of tasty tapas and pinchos as you immerse yourself in the flavour of local Spanish wines and beers.
Majorca's tapas tradition began with Spain's financial crisis in 2008. The bars were empty during the week, so to boost business, the owners got together and created a tapas route through the centre of Palma. The concept: affordable prices and a drink included with each tapas order to promote the tradition of tapas and local food.
From that moment on, the bars were filled with people. Throughout the evening, small bars offer delicious tapas and pinchos (a slice of baguette with vegetables, fish or meat on top) served with a glass of delicious Spanish wine or an ice-cold beer. But the tapas route is more than just eating and drinking: it means making new friends, meeting up with old friends, visiting different bars and sitting on charming terraces, as well as sampling delicious local food. It's the most beloved Spanish dinner ritual and you can't leave Majorca without trying it!
On this route through Palma, you'll walk the narrow streets of the old quarter to find the best tapas bars. Each bar has its own speciality, and the tour won't stop until you've tried the best food from each place. Do you want to sample the biggest omelette in Majorca? Or maybe authentic Spanish ham? Or how about some incredible fresh fish skewers? The grilled lamb is perfect too, don't forget that! For each tapa you order, you can choose a glass of local wine, cold beer or soft drink.
Spoilt for choice? Don't worry! You can ask your local guide for some recommendations to help you choose the tastiest option.
