Winery Toni Gelabert

Designation of Origin Pla i Llevant Vins Toni Gelabert is a small family-run winery specialized in traditionally home- wines. Toni Gelabert began to produce wine in 1979. At that point it was simply an enthusiasm or a dream, although throughout the years it has become a way of life. Using family vineyards, on his own initiative and just for amusement, Toni Gelabert persevered with his winemaking efforts with the support of his daughters, wife, family and friends. A sense of curiosity and desire to improve upon the first results led him to investigate and perfect the colour, aroma and taste of the wines he was creating, making constant, gradual headway. Praised by wine experts, wine waiters and professionals from the trade, Toni Gelabert's wines began to find a place in the more demanding, quality wine market. These wines were his Vi de la Terra Pla i Llevant-Mallorca. Some years later, in 1999, he finished applying for and was awarded the Pla i Llevant Designation of Origin. In the same year the Gelabert family began to build the Ses 3 Ermites winery in Son Fangos near Manacor: a flat, peaceful area. Light, wind, water and energy are the features of a winery that is nowadays the home of serious wines.
