Sant Joan de Labritja (Ibiza)

If you feel like connecting with unknown rural Ibiza, grab your map and head for Sant Joan de Labritja. It is one of Ibiza's most charming white villages. It is located in the north of the island, very close to other Ibizan villages, such as Sant Miquel, Sant Vicent and Sant Llorenç, which are the traditional essence of the island of Ibiza.

In the centre of the village you will find whitewashed houses, one next to the other, a small town hall and the church of Sant Joan, which was built in the 18th century next to a small chapel, erected a few years earlier by the landowner with the most land in the area to attract more inhabitants to farm his land. To some extent, walking along the streets of Sant Joan de Labritja is like travelling to another time, where everything happens slowly, to that Ibiza far from the international spotlight.

In the immediate vicinity you will find excursions on which you can have direct contact with nature, extensive virgin forests, imposing cliffs and charming little coves, some famous for their hippie atmosphere and their drummers.
