Flea market Sant Francesc

Every Saturday morning, Sant Francesc Xavier is transformed into a large flea market where you can stroll and discover unique items in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Sant Francesc Xavier is an obligatory stop for those who spend a few days on Formentera. The village is the island capital, the largest city on the island, and its relaxed and friendly atmosphere and lively social and cultural life are an experience you should not miss.

Sant Francesc Xavier enjoys a great artisan tradition with the hippie flair that permeates the entire island. Its corners and streets are dotted with numerous shops and stands of local artisans who show and sell their creations.

But it is on Saturday morning when the village is particularly lively thanks to its flea market; it is set up in the heart of the village and transforms the place into a lively coming and going.

On the main square, just behind the Sant Francesc Xavier church (a peculiar building used as a fortress in the 18th century), the second hand market is set up every Saturday. A stroll through the market in search of a different and unique object you can take home as a souvenir or gift for the loved ones is a complete pleasure.

Handbags, shoes, jewelry, books, records, fashion ... Everything is possible in this market full of treasures to discover. Here, a hippie atmosphere is breathed, and locals and tourists from all over the world mix up with naturalness.

The proximity to the main square, the center of cultural and social life, where the most important business streets begin, allows you to enjoy the gastronomic and leisure activities of the village, whether it is a breakfast before a visit to the market or an aperitif or lunch.

In short: a perfect plan for a Saturday morning, which you must not miss!
