Gardens steeped in history, making visits a full experience for the senses
The Serra de Tramuntana mountain range frames the valley featuring the lushest gardens on the island thanks to the abundance of water. With a long historic tradition, the gardens exemplify a long historical journey that runs in perfect balance between the orange and lemon groves.
In the first section, the gardens are laid out along paths leading to the entrance of the houses and orchard. They are shaded by tall banana and date palm trees, enlivened by water running in open channels and a small pond full of colourful fish. An old safareig (lavoir) sheltered by a vault frames the view towards the Serra d'Alfàbia mountain range.
The route then leads through the citrus orchards along a raised, paved walkway covered by a trellis. This is one of Alfàbia's most emblematic areas, decorated by 24 fountains that burst into watery games when activated. Rainbows appear on sunny days.
Behind the houses, visitors will find the romantic garden. This leafy spot is a true oasis of greenery and water, surrounded by palm trees, reeds and the best samples of wisteria in Majorca. This is the best spot to relax and taste the orange juice from the Alfàbia orchards.
