Son Marroig and sa Foradada route

Excursion through the setting of the Son Marroig ‘possessió’ (property), the old property of archduke Luís Salvador, and path towards sa Foradada. The route starts at the car park of the ‘possessió’ and takes about two and a half hours (there and back).

Son Marroig is located on road Ma-1130, towards Deià (Ma-10). The starting point of the three-kilometre excursion up to sa Foradada is marked by some iron bars at the houses. This path was conceived by the archduke so he could reach his property easily, so it is currently know as the path of the Archduke ('Camino de s'Arxiduc'). It is a pleasant walk amng Mediterranean vegetation, and provides views of the small Son Marroig temple and several coves.
