Dive into local popular architecture and one of the most beautiful coves in Majorca
This route starts in the town of Deià and ends in its cove, and is suitable for the whole family. Along the way you will be able to enjoy a Mediterranean landscape and the popular architecture of the Tramuntana mountains.
It is an easy route that takes about an hour to complete (there and back) and showcases the traditional culture of the mountains: houses, wind mills, washing areas, vegetable patches, etc, lining the path up to the Deià cove, with its characteristic fishermen’s huts and docks.
The circuit starts in Archiduque Luis Salvador street and continues along Porxo street. It runs past the town hall, past Can Vallés, with its majestic tower, and drops along the shoreline of Topa. Some steps lead to a small bridge over the Racó stream, which offers a view of Can Carindo and the archaeological museum created by William Waldren. The Siquier washing area and the Can Boi shelter, with its oil mill, are a bit further along the way. This is followed by the sa Font des Molí basin and a gutter that supplies several hydraulic structures downstream. The path, known as ‘des Ribassos’, slopes gently down to the Cala bridge.
