BEACHES FOR KIDS OR FAMILIES

Majorca is one of the most charming islands in Spain. It has spectacular beaches and coves, but many are often difficult to access or are further away. With this in mind, here are the most beautiful beaches and ideal for visiting with children or as a family.

Playa Formentor en Mallorca

- Playa de Alcúdia: 3.5 kilometres of white sand and clear water. This beautiful beach is a blue flag beach and is quite shallow, which makes it perfect for swimming with children. - Playa de Formentor: in addition to being one of the most beautiful beaches in Majorca, surrounded by pine forests and mountains, it is very accessible and comfortable to go as a family or with children as it has a shower service, lifeguards, restaurants, rental of umbrellas and loungers, and parking. NUDIST BEACHES AND COVES

The beaches and coves of Majorca are very frequented by nudists, since its legislation dictates that it is totally legal to practice it in public and this is normally applied by all the beaches. Here are some recommendations:

- Playa del Mago: this is one of the most renowned nudist beaches on the island as it was the first beach in Calvià to be declared a nudist beach. This small virgin cove is one of the most popular and frequented by all, nudist or not, since it is totally unspoiled. Moreover, its crystalline and calm waters guarantee excellent conditions for diving and snorkelling. Don't forget to visit this emblematic nudist beach, here are the step by step directions.

- Es Trenc: it is protected as a Special Interest Natural Area, and for many it is the most beautiful beach in Majorca. Es Trenc beach is another great option in Majorca for nudists, preferably the southern part. It has a variety of services so that beach goers have everything they need to enjoy a day at the beach. - Cala Mesquidaalthough nudism is permitted throughout the beach, there is a space specifically designated for it on the side of the cove.  When there are waves it is also an ideal beach for surfers and divers. Follow the following route to get there.

If you are a fan of open water and marine life, the island of Majorca is perfect for you. With around 1900 kilometres of coastline and crystal-clear waters, snorkelling and diving on its beaches and coves can be quite an adventure. Port des Canonge (Banyalbufar): It is a small cove of boulders used for decades as a dry dock for small fishing boats. It currently retains the charm of a small fishing port and is ideal for snorkelling and diving, as its seabed is full of rocks and vegetation that host fish and cephalopods.
