If you want to lose yourself in one of the most spectacular places on the island of Mallorca, do not miss a visit to Banyalbufar. Nestled in the sea, which is its literal translation, this small town in the Tramuntana mountains is less touristic than others and preserves a natural landscape with views of the mountains and coves surrounding the town.

The main characteristic of this Mallorcan town is its terraced vineyards overlooking the sea. This location also offers small hidden coves where you can quietly enjoy nature. We recommend you visit some of its wineries where you can taste the Malvasia grape variety of Banyalbufar.

VALLDEMOSSA

Valldemossa, with less than 2,000 inhabitants, is one of the most beautiful towns in Mallorca you can visit. Cobbled streets, medieval facades full of colourful plant pots, dreamy sunsets ... every corner is charming in Valldemossa.

This town is located in the interior of the island, in the Tramuntana mountain range, so it is surrounded by nature in an almost virgin environment. The charm of Valldemossa attracted great poets, such as Ruben Dario and Jorge Luis Borges, to lose themselves in its streets, enjoy its gastronomy and interact with its people.

Did you know that Valldemossa was the setting for the romance between composer Frederic Chopin and poet George Sand? She expressed it in a couplet: "Everything that the poet and the painter can dream, nature has created in this place". Meanwhile, Chopin defined it as the "most beautiful place in the world".

DEIÀ

They say that Deia has the best of the sea and the mountains, and we corroborate that. It has a population with a special bohemian air, as the result of the influence of the many artists who have passed through it over the years.

The appeal of this corner lies in its location, in the Tramuntana mountains, amidst rocky landscapes and wonderful views of the Mediterranean. The main pastime of tourists is to walk among the picturesque stone houses that fill the whole town, combining this with visits to cafes, restaurants, pubs with live music, art galleries and spaces dedicated to crafts.

SÓLLER AND SÓLLER PORT

Soller is one of the most historical places on the island. The streets of this Mallorcan treasure are almost a century old. The town is located in the famous "valley of the orange trees", which meant that it was cut off from the rest of the island until the tunnel was constructed in the 90s.

We recommend travelling to Soller on the famous historical wooden train, which will give you a very different perspective as it crosses the valley. In addition to this unforgettable trip, Soller offers a wide variety of hiking trails for the more adventurous and the chance to discover the flora and fauna of its crystal clear waters snorkelling or diving.

FORNALUTX

Fornalutx is known as the most beautiful town in Spain due to the conservation and care taken of its monuments and buildings. Worthy of note is the tower of the town hall from the seventeenth century and the Gothic church dating from 1639. This small town is located between the Tramuntana mountain Range and the valley of Soller.

Its beauty lies in the narrow paved streets that you can lose yourself in, adorned with all kinds of brightly coloured flowers. This scenery combines with the traditional 16th century houses with their painted tiles and the idyllic surroundings. The only town in Mallorca that you cannot miss.

CAPDEPERA

What makes this beautiful town unique, together with its history and tradition, is the medieval fortress that surrounds it. Among its buildings of interest, the fourteenth century castle is worthy of note and a must-see as the views from its highest point are truly wonderful. We also recommend visiting the church of San Juan.

Some of the activities you can do in this town are hiking, golf and water sports of all kinds thanks to its well-known beaches. It is about an hour and a half by car from Palma. Follow these directions.

ESTELLENCS

Estellencs is a destination for those fleeing overcrowded places; an oasis of peace located in the Tramuntana mountains that is noteworthy for its stunning location.

To get to this town you have to travel a winding road that offers unique views of the sea and mountains. In Estellencs you can also visit different medieval buildings, such as the church of Saint John the Baptist, the defence tower, the Tem Alemany tower and the old village washhouse of Arab origin.

Music is another great attraction of this town, since every year they celebrate a music festival dedicated to Xavier Bestard, famous guitarist from Estellencs. PORTOCOLOM

This is a traditional fishing village that still preserves its essence and charm, since it is uncrowded even in summer. The most emblematic parts of the town are the lighthouse, the fishing port and the pier area, where all the boats remain anchored, offering a wonderful photograph at sunset.

The beach of Marcal Cove is the most important in the town. Together with the rest of the coves, it is notable for its white sand and crystal clear waters. From Portocolom you can also take boat trips and enjoy the nature in the area. In the town centre, you must not miss taking a walk around to enjoy the little houses painted in pastel colours. The area of the pier is the most commercial, where you can find bars, restaurants and commercial businesses of all kinds.

Pollença is a unique place in Mallorca. You only have to listen to its inhabitants, who have an exclusive dialect on the island. It is also a place with a lot of history and tradition, with a wild natural landscape and numerous buildings that are major tourist attractions.

Pollença, located in the north of the island, has numerous narrow paved streets and a large peaceful square in the centre of the town where you can have something to eat and drink.
