We have organized the route into a total of 6 sections to be covered depending on the time you have for your trip. We recommend that you dedicate at least 3 days to this wonderful island, but you may organize the trip as you like. You can even complete the 6 sections on our route in a single day.

As you will see, each section contains 3 tourist attractions in Formentera, although the travel time in each section can vary according to the distances between each location.

Start by relaxing on one of the most emblematic beaches in Formentera: Es Cavall d'En Borras, from where you can see a few small islands of Ibiza, relax on its fine white sand, and enjoy the flora and fauna of the Natural Area of Ses Salines.

Before continuing on your route, we recommend you lose yourself for a while in the dunes and juniper forest that you will find on the very beach.

This is one of the most easy-going sections of the whole motorcycle route. That is what it is all about, isn’t it? We start at Es Pujols beach, where we recommend you snorkel to discover one of the most famous seabeds in the Mediterranean. You can also take advantage of this stop to eat at one of the beach bars on the promenade. You will not be disappointed!

We continue on from here to a visit to Punta Prima Tower, the largest of the defence towers built at each end of the island in 1762. You will love the feeling of being on an immense balcony facing the Mediterranean.

We end the section with these views and by relaxing in Envaste cove (En Baster), with its rocky character and protected from the wind. Do not leave here without taking a walk through the caves where the fishermen’s boats were once kept.

3rd SECTION: CAN BLAI ROMAN CASTLE, SES PLATGETES BEACH AND TERRAMOLL WINERY

TOTAL DURATION : 5 hours
DRIVING TIME : 15 minutes
KILOMETRES TO TRAVEL BY MOTORCYCLE : 7 km

We start the tour at the Roman Castle of Can Blai, also known as Can Pins, a monument considered the oldest Roman heritage on the island of Formentera. You must not miss the sea views from this location.

After this taste of Formentera culture, relax on the beach of Ses Platgetes, also known as the beach of Es Caló de Sant Agustí, where the blue of its waters will leave you speechless. The combination of rocks and sand on the shore will allow you to enjoy the beach almost isolated from other visitors.

Finally, we leave the last inhabited area behind us until we reach the Cap de Barbaria lighthouse, the southernmost point of all the Balearic Islands. You cannot leave the lighthouse without visiting the holed cave (cova foradada).

What better way to finish this biker route than with magnificent views? To see them we will visit two favourite tourist spots: the viewpoint of Estany des Peix Protected Natural Area; and the Ses Salines Natural Park. These are two ideal locations to get to know these areas and carry out an increasingly popular activity: native birdwatching.
