Beach Cala Galdana

Cala Galdana is a tourist center that has grown around a pretty beach with white sand and shallow, transparent water. The beach is located on a well preserved coastline and is surrounded by pine forests.

So if you are traveling with children and are looking for a comfortable beach with all the services, with life guards and a wooden walkway for disabled guests, this is one of your options. The beach also has a buoyed area to practice water sports such as paddle surfing or kayaking. This allows you to explore pretty corners on the coast. In the summer, the beach is visited by many guests. The beach is 350 meters long and 40 meters wide. On one of its ends the mountain streams of Torrente de Algendaret and Torrente de Algendar end; this is the longest brook of Menorca and is crossed by a bridge. Its mouth forms a small wetland area, in which frogs, bats and shrews live. Cala Galdana, whose name comes from the Arabian Guad-al Ana, is located between Morro de Ponent and Penyal Vermell and is bordered by cliffs crowned by pines and buildings. From the viewpoints on the cliffs you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views on this coastal section.

To reach the beach from Ferreries (8 km), follow the road signs. You can park your car near the beach.
