Beach Son Saura

The Llevant de Son Saura beach, also known as Bellavista, is located on the south coast of Ciutadella, at the end of a deep bay that has formed this beach and that of Es Banyuls.

Together they form Son Saura, an unspoiled area with shallow waters and fine sand, where you can observe large Posidonia sea grass meadows on some sections. This useful plant covers the bottom of the Mediterranean and leads to oxygen. And in your back, a dune system and a dense pine forest, where in the summer many families enjoy a picnic in the shade. If you like to hike: a short path that starts between the pines leads you east to the beautiful Es Talaier beach. It forms a wonderful enclave, secluded and quiet all year round, on which you can spend a pleasant beach day with the children.

The beach, about 310 meters long, offers no services; so you need to take care of your own water and food. It is also an ideal place to practice water sports, and to explore this pretty coastal section with the kayak or paddle surf. To reach the beach from Ciutadella (13.5 km) on the road, follow the signs south to the Camí de Son Catlar. The beach has a free car park.
