A sandy beach with a family atmosphere near Sant Lluís
Cala Alcaufar is located in the village of the same name, with white houses and from one side the view of the pretty Torre d'Alcaufar, a 18th century defense tower.
The beach - about 40 meters long and 75 meters wide - lies at the end of a deep and narrow indentation, flanked by rocky cliffs, and from there you can enjoy wonderful views of the small island Illot des Torn, small moorings and boats with small draft, which anchor in front of the bay. A quiet place visited by the inhabitants of the village and Sant Lluís. The beach is located between Punta Prima and Punta das Rafalet; beach has no services, but there are bars and restaurants nearby. You will enjoy crystal-clear, slightly deep water, which is colder than in other places of Menorca, because fresh water flows into the sea at this part of the coast.
To reach the beach from Sant Lluís (4.8 km), follow signs to Alcaufar. Here you can leave your car in the parking lot next to the beach.
