A secluded beach for hikers in the s'Albufera of the Grau Nature Park
The name of this completely untouched beach comes from the guardhouse - known under the name Sa Torreta or Torre of the Tamarell - which stands on Es Colomar about 750 meters away from the shore.
The beach is located between Es Colomar and the Punta de ses Àguiles, and is part of the s'Albufera des Grau Natural Park. This is an important wetland area of 70 hectares, in which numerous birds rest on their intercontinental journeys between Europe and Africa. If you love nature in the original state, do not miss a visit to this natural park with observation posts. From them you can observe the daily life of the birds with binoculars and silent. The beach - with a length of 200 meters and a width of 60 meters - is a lonely place, even in summer. You can reach the beach just across the sea, aboard a ship, or across land across a 4 kilometer section of Camí de Cavalls. The path begins on the Es Grau beach. You need appropriate footwear and something for drinking and eating.
