A bay surrounded by a privileged landscape!
The Cala Escorxada beach, with its U-shape and not too deep, is protected by vegetation and dense Mediterranean pine forests.
Its crystal-clear water with blue and turquoise tones is a perfect environment for those who love not all the places and the sea bottom. Because of its not too easy access, Cala Escorxada has preserved its practically untouched character. The landscape that surrounds the beach is of such beauty that the area has become one of the most privileged of the island. Cala Escorxada hides in a small corner of the southern coast of Menorca, in the municipality of Es Migjorn Gran. It is part of the AENI (Natural Area of Especial Interest), extending from Cala Mitjana to Binigaus. An area with high cliffs and coves that have formed some of the most hidden and enchanting bays and beaches of Menorca.
If you want to go by foot instead of by boat, you have to park your car at the parking lot of Cala Mitjana. From there you hike over a pretty section of the Camí de Cavalls. The path will not be easy, but both the landscape until we get to the beach and what we will find on arrival are worth the effort.
