Cove Santandria

Here is a deep bay, at the end of this pretty sandy beach, surrounded by all kinds of tourist facilities and services to spend an unforgettable day by the sea.

On the shore, 110 meters long and 25 meters wide, you will see two separate sections: one more tourist and heavily visited section, and another, smaller and quieter. The beach has life guards, an area for water sports and a footbridge for disabled guests. There are several restaurants with a rich gastronomic offer. In the summer, the beach is heavily attended by guests who appreciate the fine sand and the transparent, shallow waters. The name of the beach has a legendary origin: it is said that a deadly wounded Christian prisoner baptized the daughter of an Arab captain and called this coastal town Sancte Andrea. In the vicinity of this beach, between the Caleta d'en Gorries and Cala Blanca, prehistoric caves have been found.

To reach Cala Santandria from Ciutadella (8.7 km), take the Ronda Sud and follow the road signs towards the Cap d'Artrutx. A well signposted junction will take you to the beach, where you can park. You can easily reach the beach by bus.
