Cove Viola de Ponent

This pebbly beach is located between the Punta de ses Gomes and the port of Sanitja, a coastal section near the Cap de Cavalleria, the northernmost point of the island of Menorca, with an altitude of 80 meters.

The beach is peculiar, because it has three banks, separated from rocky sections; they are about 100 meters long and 25 meters wide. It is an unspoiled and secluded place where you can swim naked, and you have to take something to drink and eat. The rocky seabed is an excellent place to snorkel.

To get to the beach from Es Mercadal (12.2 km), follow the road signs to Cape Cavalleria. Before you get to the beach, you have to cross a metallic gate - which you can open and close to drive through your car. The beach is on your left. You can park your car near the beach. Visit the cliff-lined Cavalleria Lighthouse with breathtaking views of the endless sea.
