Crafts and local products in Minorca
The Mercat d'Estiu in Sant Lluís, also known as the Molí Market, is the perfect excuse to enjoy a lovely afternoon in one of the most picturesque towns in Minorca. Sant Lluís is a quiet and beautiful little white village that exudes the true essence of the Mediterranean. It was founded during the French domination (1756-1763) and named after King Louis XV of France. Every Thursday, its high street exudes creativity and colour with more than 40 stalls displaying the best of local crafts.
The Sant Lluís Summer Market is held every Thursday from 7 pm to 11 pm in the high street of Sant Lluís, which is closed to traffic so that you can discover and experience it at your leisure.
Local crafts and unique products
The market was conceived so that the island's artists and creative people could display their creations. Thus, here you will find singular and unique pieces that will remind you of your visit to Minorca in a very special way. You will find handmade jewellery, ceramics, textiles and a variety of items that reflect the creativity and skill of Minorcan artisans.
An experience for the whole family
The Sant Lluís Market is a perfect destination to visit with the family. Children can enjoy the entertainment and activities that are often organised in the square, while adults can stroll leisurely among the stalls, chat with the artists and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Live music and street performances are common and add a festive touch to the experience.
After visiting the market, we recommend you explore Sant Lluís. This pretty little white village retains a historic charm, with its narrow streets, whitewashed houses and spectacular mill at the entrance to the town. In addition, very close to Sant Lluís you will find the Binifadet winery, where you can taste the local wine. Enjoy the experience!
