Dreamy corners and incredible blue
Discovering Menorca from the sea is an experience that you should have enjoyed at least once in your life. Head north, where the beaches are less crowded and almost untouched and some are accessible only from the sea. The landscape is rocky, with high cliffs and a range of blue tones that you have never seen before.
You will discover idyllic beaches such as Cala Tortuga. It is close to the Faro Favàritx lighthouse and the peculiar Cala Pregonda Bay with its red sand protected by small islands, the famous Cavalleria o Cala Rotja beach, a jewel of the Mediterranean, where you can take a bath in the red mud or snorkel. In each of these small paradises you can also discover wonderful places with the kayak or paddle surf.
The South also offers fascinating landscapes with much more vegetation, rocks, gorges, white sand and paradise coves. Cala Turqueta is one of those bays you should surely not miss. It owes its name to the blue color of its crystalline waters, or Cala Macarella, which is widely appreciated as the island´s most beautiful beach. You will find this beach on many postcards of Menorca. Or the Playa de Binigaus, the largest beach in the south, where you can visit the Cova dels Coloms cave.
