Hidden treasures on the coast of Menorca
Discovering the coast of Menorca from a kayak is a wonderful way to reach beautiful and hidden places that are only accessible from the sea. One of the best kayak routes is the cave route; it allows exploring numerous caves on the south coast of the island.
The route begins in Cala en Porter Bay. To the east, just a few meters away, you will find the first cave just below the houses. The next stop is the Cova d'en Xoroi, on the cliffs. Previously, the cave was a pirate nest, which owes its name to a Turkish pirate who lived in the cave. Set up the diving glasses and dive into the Rincón de Alt i Fondo to enjoy the beauty of this secluded place.
They then reach the losa de Pudent, a perfect place to snorkel, although not suitable for beginners. Right next door you will find the Rincón dels Enamorats, a place full of charm. Paddle further to Calescoves; on the walls of the cliffs you will find numerous man-made caves. They are part of the main necropolis of Menorca.
Further along the coast you can conquer wonderful caves such as Cova dels Magatzems, Dels Suros and the Cueva de ses Atxes and Cova des Pardal caves, at sea level, or the Cova des Moro with a beautiful window to the sea.
