Exploring the Talayotic culture in Minorca
Located on a hill with breathtaking views of the south coast of Minorca, the Talayotic settlement Torre d'en Galmés is one of the largest settlements in the Balearic Islands, a large Bronze Age city. This 4.5 hectare archaeological treasure reveals the secrets of a civilisation that flourished between 1200 BC and the Roman period.
Before entering the site, it is advisable to visit the interpretation centre to gain a better understanding of the daily life of the ancient inhabitants. In addition, the tour can be extended with a stop at the nearby monuments of Na Comerma de Sa Garita, the function of which is still a mystery today, and the tomb of Ses Roques Llises.
